Who We Are

The Richardson Center for Learning & Wellness was created by Kelly Richardson. After teaching for the past 17 years in many areas of education, she saw a disconnect in helping students with learning difficulties overcome their struggles. In the past 10 years, Kelly has done research that applies to figuring out how to best teach and help students with learning difficulties such as dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, memory issues, and reading comprehension delays.
Through her personal struggle with dyslexia, she has been effective in teaching many students how to overcome this difficulty. By her youngest son Josiah having a form of autism, she began to press into solutions for others who were exposed to this challenge in their lives.
Kelly Richardson brings over 17 years of educational experience to her practice. She has a passion for helping others reach their maximum potential in whatever they have been created to do.

Kelly J. Richardson earned her Masters of Education in 2011 from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education in 1996 from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, WI.

 

HISTORY OF BRAIN INTEGRATION/ CROSSINOLOGY

During the 1980s, a number of innovative practitioners combined their knowledge of how the brain learns with ancient Chinese medicine. Out of this body of work came the unimaginable; people with long-standing learning disabilities, head injuries and even strokes, all recovering in dramatic ways.

One of the most innovative of these practitioners is Susan J McCrossin, AP.

In 1988, Susan began studying the links between learning difficulties and acupressure. Subsequently, she developed her comprehensive system, known as Crossinology® – Brain Integration Technique. This revolutionary technique improves learning ability, creativity, and physical coordination. Having had a learning difficulty herself,
Susan has a particular insight into what it is like living with a learning difficulty, and the lack of function that results.

Susan is an articulate and persuasive spokesperson for the Learning Disabilities community. Like many of the best clinicians in the field, she struggled with learning problems that prevented her from excelling in school. In spite of this she achieved great success in the computer industry, but eventually turned her attention to finding answers for the learning problems that initially put her career, and very self-worth in jeopardy. She began to develop treatment systems that made many performance breakthroughs possible. Susan put her newfound learning skills to work by returning to college and earning advanced degrees in neuroscience and psychology from Swinburne University in Melbourne, Australia. She conducted research using state of the art EEG brainmapping to help demonstrate how her new techniques were changing the brain, and the very world we live in.

Ms McCrossin also holds a Diploma in Applied Physiology from the International Institute in Arizona. She has researched and, over the years, has written many articles on brain integration, learning disabilities, and the subject of learning. Susan has trained hundreds of practitioners in Europe and Australia. In October 2004, she was a keynote speaker for the Aspen Center for Integrative Health at the Aspen Institute in Colorado.

 

 

In 1998, armed with her cutting-edge Crossinology Brain Integration Technique, Susan moved to America in order to help introduce her work to a wider audience. Ms McCrossin is the author of Breaking the Learning Barrier: Eradicating ADD, ADHD, and Dyslexia, and she heads the Learning Enhancement Center in Boulder, Colorado, where she has successfully treated thousands of children and adults for learning difficulties. Susan has received newspaper and magazine coverage as well as conference, radio and television appearances.
